Limerick Poems
Week 3
This week we have been learning about limerick poems, limerick poems are when you write one row of words but the catch is that that row of words all need to rhyme and there needs to be 8 syllables in a row so for rows 1 2 and 5 need to have the same amount of syllables and row 3 and 4 need to have 6 syllables in the row. Rows 1 2 and 5 need to rhyme and rows 3 and 4 need to rhyme. Here are my limerick poems.
Who sat in a cat with a mat
He had a flat hat on the cat
But then the cat was a dog
With a little squeaking mouse
But the rat pat the hot cat mad cat
There was a pin that feel in a bin
He poked someone in the skin and sinned
Then the man got in the rubbish bin
Then shot the pot that was hot
He tired to get the pin off his skin
Jimmy has a friend called timmy
Who has a small cat called kimmy
Who finds pins in the bins
And spins to win a bin
that has a small dog called shimmy
